Crispy Cornstarch Fried Chicken Recipe🍗

📝Ingredients:

  • 500 g chicken (cut into pieces)

  • 150 g cornstarch

  • 50 g all-purpose flour

  • 1 tsp baking powder

  • 1 tsp salt

  • ½ tsp black pepper

  • ½ tsp garlic powder

  • ½ tsp paprika powder (optional)

  • 1 egg

  • 100 ml cold water

  • Cooking oil (for deep frying)


Marinade:

  • 1 tbsp soy sauce

  • 1 tsp salt

  • ½ tsp black pepper

  • ½ tsp ginger powder

  • 2 garlic cloves (grated)


👨‍🍳Instructions:

  1. Marinate the Chicken:

    • In a bowl, mix chicken with soy sauce, salt, black pepper, ginger powder, and grated garlic.

    • Let it marinate for 30 minutes.

  2. Prepare the Coating:

    • In a separate bowl, mix cornstarch, all-purpose flour, baking powder, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.

    • In another bowl, beat egg and mix with cold water.

  3. Coat the Chicken:

    • Dip marinated chicken into the egg mixture.

    • Then, coat it with the cornstarch-flour mixture, pressing lightly to stick.

    • Shake off excess flour and let it rest for 5 minutes.

  4. Deep Fry the Chicken:

    • Heat oil in a deep pan to 170°C (340°F).

    • Fry the chicken in batches for 5-7 minutes until golden brown and crispy.

    • Remove and drain on paper towels.

  5. Double Fry for Extra Crispiness (Optional):

    • Increase oil temperature to 190°C (375°F).

    • Fry the chicken again for 2-3 minutes until extra crispy.

  6. Serve & Enjoy!
