Crispy Cornstarch Fried Chicken Recipe🍗

📝Ingredients:
500 g chicken (cut into pieces)
150 g cornstarch
50 g all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
½ tsp black pepper
½ tsp garlic powder
½ tsp paprika powder (optional)
1 egg
100 ml cold water
Cooking oil (for deep frying)
Marinade:
1 tbsp soy sauce
1 tsp salt
½ tsp black pepper
½ tsp ginger powder
2 garlic cloves (grated)
👨🍳Instructions:
Marinate the Chicken:
In a bowl, mix chicken with soy sauce, salt, black pepper, ginger powder, and grated garlic.
Let it marinate for 30 minutes.
Prepare the Coating:
In a separate bowl, mix cornstarch, all-purpose flour, baking powder, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
In another bowl, beat egg and mix with cold water.
Coat the Chicken:
Dip marinated chicken into the egg mixture.
Then, coat it with the cornstarch-flour mixture, pressing lightly to stick.
Shake off excess flour and let it rest for 5 minutes.
Deep Fry the Chicken:
Heat oil in a deep pan to 170°C (340°F).
Fry the chicken in batches for 5-7 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
Remove and drain on paper towels.
Double Fry for Extra Crispiness (Optional):
Increase oil temperature to 190°C (375°F).
Fry the chicken again for 2-3 minutes until extra crispy.
