📝Ingredients:

  • 200 g all-purpose flour

  • 120 g unsalted butter (softened)

  • 100 g brown sugar (for a deep caramel flavor)

  • 50 g granulated sugar (for crispiness)

  • 1 egg

  • ½ tsp ethyl maltol (for enhanced caramel aroma & sweetness)

  • ½ tsp vanilla extract

  • ½ tsp baking soda

  • ¼ tsp salt

  • 1 tbsp caramel syrup (optional, for extra caramel richness)

  • 50 g toffee bits or caramel chunks


👨‍🍳Instructions:

  1. Preheat & Prep:

    • Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).

    • Line a baking tray with parchment paper.

  2. Cream the Butter & Sugars:

    • Beat butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.

    • Add egg, vanilla extract, ethyl maltol, and caramel syrup; mix well.

  3. Combine Dry Ingredients:

    • In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.

    • Gradually add to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.

  4. Fold in Caramel Bits:

    • Stir in toffee bits or caramel chunks for a gooey caramel surprise.

  5. Shape & Bake:

    • Scoop dough onto the baking tray, spacing them apart.

    • Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are golden brown.
